I Have to Raise Someone Else’s Child While Her Mom Is Having Fun at Parties – Story of the Day

I had loved Molly since college, but she always kept me in the friend zone. It wasn’t until she got pregnant by her latest “cool” boyfriend, who promptly dumped her, that she started to see me differently. To save her from raising a child alone, I proposed, and she accepted.

For a while, life was perfect. Molly was an amazing wife and mom, and I was over the moon about our little family.

But after five years, things changed. Molly became increasingly unhappy. One night, after putting her daughter to bed, she snapped. “I can’t do this anymore. I lost everything!”

“What are you talking about?” I asked, confused.

“I lost my entire youth. I shouldn’t have had a kid at all!” she shouted.

“Molly, please. Amelia might hear you. She’s in the next room!” I said, trying to stay calm.

“I don’t care. I want out of this. I’m filing for divorce, and I don’t want to see any of you again,” she declared, leaving me stunned. I pleaded with her to reconsider, but she had already packed her bags and left.

So, I was left to raise Molly’s daughter, who I loved as my own. Despite everything, being her father was my greatest joy. I held out hope that Molly would come back.

One day, she did show up at my doorstep
